This Privacy Policy describes how PMakers Games collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the mobile app Folio Detective (Android package com.pmakers.games.folio.detective) and the institutional website associated with the game.

We collect only the information needed to operate the game, save your progress, and improve the experience. The types of data depend on how you interact with us:

• Account and authentication: email address (when you choose to sign in with a verification code), user identifier associated with your account, and session tokens to keep you signed in.
• Game data: progress per game session, play time, available and consumed credits, preferred language, access platform (for example, Android or desktop), conversation history with in-game characters, and case reports submitted during the investigation.
• Data stored on device: local save files and authentication tokens saved in the app's internal storage so you can continue where you left off.
• Institutional website (feedback form): feedback comments, optional name and email, optional attachments (such as screenshots), and consent to be contacted when you provide an email.
• Institutional website (account deletion form): email address, optional reason for the request, and confirmation that you understand deletion is irreversible.
• Institutional website (audience measurement): when you accept analytics cookies, we collect site usage data through Google Analytics, such as pages visited, approximate time on site, device and browser type, browser language, approximate traffic source (country/region), and interactions with site links and buttons. We do not use this data to identify you directly.

How we use data

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Operating the game, including authentication, game session creation, and progress sync.
• Processing interactions with characters and case reports through artificial intelligence services.
• Managing the in-game credit system.
• Responding to feedback submitted through the institutional website and, when authorized, contacting you about your report.
• Processing account deletion requests submitted through the institutional website.
• Measuring use of the institutional website, understanding which pages and actions matter most, and improving the landing page and public forms.
• Improving the stability, performance, and quality of our services.
• Complying with legal obligations and protecting our rights in disputes or valid requests from authorities.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the game and website, always under contracts that require adequate data protection:

• Authentication — login and account identification.
• Cloud infrastructure — storage and processing of game sessions, progress, and reports.
• Artificial intelligence — processing messages you send to in-game characters and analysis of case reports.
• Email (feedback website only) — sending and responding to game feedback when you provide your email.
• Google Analytics (institutional website) — audience measurement and site interactions, only after you consent to analytics cookies. Google may process IP address and cookie identifiers under its own policy.

These partners process data on our behalf and only to the extent necessary to provide the service. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the security of users and the platform.

Strictly necessary storage: we use local browser storage to record whether you accepted or declined analytics measurement, so we do not show the notice on every visit.

App permissions

The Folio Detective app requests internet access (INTERNET) to communicate with our servers and enable online gameplay.

The app does not integrate advertising SDKs or display third-party ads. We do not request sensitive permissions such as location, camera, microphone, contacts, or call logs.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active and as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including storing game progress and interaction history.

After an account deletion request is approved, definitive removal of associated data will occur within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or temporary backups during that period.

Feedback submitted through the website may be retained as long as needed for analysis, support, and product improvement. You may request deletion as described in the Account deletion section.

We may retain certain information when required by law or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

Your rights

Folio Detective is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in that age range.

Security

We adopt reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted communication (HTTPS) and access control to internal systems.
